报告内容简介:

Pavement infrastructure faces significant risks due to increased traffic loads and unexpected climate changes, such as excessive precipitation and flooding. Understanding the behaviour of underlying granular materials subjected to cyclic loading under varying saturation conditions is vital to mitigating these risks during the design stage.In addressing this necessity, the presentation will delve into the following aspects: (1) Developing an advanced constitutive model: This model is designed to accurately simulate the hydro-mechanical shakedown of unsaturated granular soils under a large number of load cycles. (2) Understanding and leveraging a novel laboratory test developed to simulate pavement loading - Constant Radial Stiffness Triaxial Test (CRST): The efficacy of the CRST test for understanding soil behaviour in pavement structures is discussed, highlighting its advantage over other tests in accounting for the effects of surrounding soils. (3) Analysing an idealised boundary value problem using FE analyses with the constitutive model.

陈刘欣博士是莫纳什大学土木工程学院智能新一代交通路面研究中心(SPARCwww.sparchub.org.au)的博士后研究员及博士生导师。她专注于非饱和土动力学、弹塑性理论及有限元分析,致力于推动岩土工程结构设计的创新。凭借在该领域的突出贡献,她荣获多项荣誉,包括2022年国际土力学与岩土工程学会(ISSMGE)颁发的Bright Spark Lecture Award
